Our focus areas include…

• Angel Investing: Through our Channel Angels community, we have funded 29 technology startups (as of January 2024). Our investments typically involve AI (artificial intelligence), cloud, SaaS, IT management, IT automation, cybersecurity, robotic process automation (RPA) and plenty more.

• Digital Media: Our latest digital media launch is Sustainable Tech Partner, the ultimate guide to Green IT Services. Through news, research, analysis and searchable databases, we empower technology partners & their customers to achieve & maintain their sustainability goals.

• Incubating & Advising: Through our Tampa Bay Wave relationship, we advise and mentor entrepreneurs and early stage technology businesses. We also serve on corporate boards (such as Produce8) and advisory boards.

• What’s Net?: Mentore Ventures and our brand extensions continue to scour the market for potential investments, startup ideas, and emerging journalists who want to become digital media leaders.

Previous Journeys

Mentore Ventures founder Joe Panettieri previously partnered with business builder Amy Katz to co-launch ChannelE2E and MSSP Alert (acquired by CyberRisk Alliance in 2021). Earlier, Panettieri & Katz co-launched MSPmentor, The VAR Guy and Talkin’ Cloud (acquired by Penton Media in 2011). Those online media brands engaged a combined 350,000 monthly active visitors across the IT channel partner, MSP and MSSP marketplace.
